Meet Brett — Owner-Operator of My Canberra Handyman

I’m Brett. My Canberra Handyman is a one-person business I answer your enquiry, assess the work, prepare the quote, carry out the job and remain your point of contact from start to finish.

I primarily provide residential repairs, maintenance and installation services for small to medium-sized jobs across Canberra and the ACT. I also undertake selected work for body corporates, businesses and government clients where the job suits my scope.

You can expect careful workmanship, clear communication and practical advice. I’ll be upfront about what I can assist with, what the work is likely to involve and when a licensed trade, builder or specialist would be the better choice.

My Background

I have spent more than 20 years working hands-on across residential and commercial maintenance, painting, plaster repairs, carpentry, facilities work, rural and civil projects, machinery, transport and general property repairs.

That breadth of experience matters on the tools. Most repair jobs are not textbook — they often involve older materials, previous repairs and unexpected conditions behind the surface.

Broad practical experience helps me assess what is actually happening, plan a sensible repair and avoid making the work more complicated than it needs to be.

Personal Service

There is no sales team, franchise office or changing roster of workers. The person you speak with is the person responsible for the work.

My Canberra Handyman is an Australian sole trader business operating under ABN. I maintain current public liability insurance and treat each property with care, taking reasonable steps to protect the work area, surrounding finishes and your belongings while the work is underway.
