Furniture Assembly Pricing

Here at My Canberra Handyman we don’t charge any hourly rates for small furniture assembly items. We’ve determined a fixed price list which means you know exactly how much your job will cost before we start.

as a Guide you here is a list based on value of items  to determine what our costs maybe.

For Larger items such as kitchens, bathroom and laundry cabinetry we will have to quote based on what  your particular needs are. And what needs to be done please contact Brett  to discuss these options further.


Value of Products to Be Assembled

Assembly service price Price includes GST

$0 – 299


( If more that one item please advise, different rate applies)

$300 – $599 $160
$600 – $900 $220
$900 – $1499 $280
Items Valued over $1500  Will be either based on hourly rates or be Quoted.
Rubbish Removal $60 extra – However total value items of $1500 will be quoted.


If parking can not be provided then any parking costs incurred by My Canberra Handyman shall be passed on to the customer. For quotes the fee shall be payable on the day of incurrance. For invoicing this will be passed on to the customer on final invoice.



Please Note the Following


All of the furniture assembly work is performed on the Customer’s floor for most items in a clear area in the home or Office. It is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure a clean and appropriate physical work space is readily available for assembly.

Damage to Property

While we take all due care when assembling your items, we do not accept responsibility for damage that occurs from transit and will inform you when this has happened.

Will will not take responsibility for minor damage that has occurs due to the assembly process as products can vary in quality and workmanship.

Missing Parts or Items

In the case when parts are missing from packaging, we will pause the job and let you get a replacement parts or item. We will re schedule the assembly once you have the parts or items next availability, this will incur a $70 fee.


Unless pre-discussed, our quotation does not include labour costs of removing waste, whether it be to another room, place of storage or to discard. Such requests should be pre-discussed with Brett of My Canberra Handyman and labour expenses for performing such shall be billed at the discretion of Brett.


If Brett of My Canberra Handyman supplies fasteners this will incur the extra costs of materials.

Some furniture item(s) have a safety requirement to be firmly secured to a wall. Brett of My Canberra Handyman hereby indemnifies itself from any legal prosecution whatsoever in event the Customer makes such a request to not secure the furniture as per manufacturer’s instruction.


Please be advised that we MUST wear protective shoes at all times within your premises. It is advisable to have an old bath towel / mat made available to wipe their shoes upon before entering your premises.
